Hi Everyone,  I have decided to move back to my old blog for a couple of reason.  One of the reasons is because I am normal and that is what normal people do.  People who wear red, do this too.  So, please come visit me at my old home  Applie’s Place.  I am sorry for all this confusion.  Just remember, I am still normal.

Hyperbolic Washcloth for my MIL. Made from Sugar N Cream. This was fun to make and I’ll be making more for myself.

Beer Fish, which was been previously posted. Made for the girls. Dd#3 doesn’t like hers. She says it looks weird. I think it has something to do with the eyes. I asked for the bag back and now I have a red fish bag and have no idea what to do with it. LOL

The Gigi Shawl. Made for me to wear to church the Sunday before Christmas. It is made from a fingering weight yarn called Smooshy. Yes, it is a lovely red color, but CC keep reading.

Pioneer shawl, in pink. eeeewwwww! This is not the finished product. I finished it last night, but haven’t taken a picture of it yet. I needed to finish this before school starts back up next week. We are going on the Oregon Trail and I needed a pioneer shawl. Since I’ll be walking most of the way on dirt roads ;), I picked pink yarn for this shawl. I won’t mind if it gets muddy and dirty and falls apart, because once I get to my new home in Oregon, I’ll get pretty red yarn to make another one. See CC, I have a pink shawl! It is made from Paton Wool.

Now I am off to finish a project that should have been done two months ago!

I started this project back in August.  I was hoping to finish Christmas presents early, but it didn’t happen.  I got the bodies finished quickly; it was just the rest of it that took a long time.  I was working on these during the day, because the girls couldn’t figure out what I was doing, then I had to switch to night time crochet and that wasn’t so easy, since I wanted to sleep instead of crochet. :D    I also had to make several of the fins and eyeballs, for each fish, because the dogs ate them or I lost them.

Once I had to wash the whole set;  yarn, body, eyeballs, fins, everything. I was happily crocheting along.  The whole bag of goodies were on the floor at an easy reach.  I needed that because of chaining the colors a lot.  Anyhoo, I reached over to the table to get something, probably the needle, and I hit my glass of beer.  Yep, the whole glass of beer landed upside down in the bag.  These fishy things are now known as Beer Fish.   FYI, no I wasn’t drunk, but the fish ended up being a little wobbly.

I used Red Heart Yarn in black, white, red, green, and orange.

They are now in a box that is three boxes taped together.

And they are under the three. WooHoo!!

Now on to the rest of my Christmas crocheting frenzie.

My sisters and I have been through a lot over the years.  We use to make mud pies using real chicken eggs, until we got a rotten one.  We lived in a very cold house for a while and I would sneak in their room (they shared) and cover them up.  We did everything together.  We even smacked each other around, when we got mad.  We did normal sisterly stuff like that all the time.  Both my sisters love me the best, because I am the best sister.

The first thing I found in the box was four candy canes filled with M&Ms.  I thought they were for me, but since I have four children I quickly discovered they were not for me.  So, to be mean to my kids, I hid them until Christmas morning.  bwahahaha.

The next think was a tin can filled with homemade sugary goodness.  The kind that sends you into a sugar coma for days.  Sugared Pecans.  I won’t ask for the recipe, because I’ll make them and eat them and land in the hospital.      These are gone now.

One year my youngest sister was in love with Johnny Cash. She talked about him all the time. Because I knew how important friends were and I loved my sister, I gave her Johnny Cash’s phone number. She called him, or tried to. I am a good sister.

Next on the list, was a pair of dog ornaments. They are really cute! They are buds and I know if one wanted the phone number of a famous dog, the other would provide it. Sisterly love, can’t beat that!

The sister also sent dog treats and kid treats. I have to make the kid treats. I need to talk to my sister about that.

This is how I know she really loves me. The biggest thing in the box was for the whole family, but I took it as my own. It is the cutest snowman! It lights up and spins around and sings some stupid Christmas song about snow, because Christmas is all about snow in Florida. She had this gift for me for about two years and just now thought of sending it to me. Isn’t she great!

And the last thing, because she loves me the best was…

Peppermint Pig Poop!

Look CC! The package is in pink and red. The pig is red and the poop is pink. I just wanted you to know that.

My kids saw the pig poop and demanded to have a piece. I say things like “NO! You can’t have my poop”, “I might share my poop later”, and “That’s my poop and it tastes like peppermint”.

My family thinks I need help.  I don’t need help, I am normal.

The lights are like potato chips; you can’s stop at just one.

She really liked the fact that she could have these yummy lights all to herself. Maple was else where. You want to know where?

Yesterday at co-op, I, Red Ethel, kidnapped Applie and set her up for ransome.  I forced her landlubber students to hunt for my treasure. It was a scarry day, says I!.  Argggg.

I only had one clue to begin with.

The smart landlubbers, quickly figured out where to look for the next clue; at the playground. They need to be cleaning the poop deck, instead of playing on a playground.  I’ll be speaken to that Applie, for sure.

They found the next clue, plus a compass. I was impressed that Applie tought them how to read said instrument. Smart landlubber, facilitator! Arggg…. She still needs to walk the plank.

The little maties traveled all over the island searching for me treasure. There were two more riddles they had to straigten out and they did.   At one point swashbucklin’ started and I had to threaten the little mites with the plank. They’ll out there to find me booty, not to start a fighten.

At one point, the scallywags, couldn’t find the clue. They must have had too much applejuice grog, and it clouded their thinkin’.

Can you landlubbers find the clue?

By the Powers!, them Buccanneers found the final clue to the big treasure. Where the X marks the spot! It’s a site for these sore pirate eyes, says I.

Aye! It leads them to a party. Since they found me treasure, I won’t be sending the Lily-livereds to Davy Jones’ Locker. There was grog, doubloons, and other sorted treasures.

Shiver me timbers! We be had a good time. Yo-ho-ho, Me Hearties!

We made two seperate houses this time. Here is Lady Daughter #1 decorating one of them.

Sir Husband got carried away at the cutting equipment in the garage and made windows. They have clear plastic behind them, for glass.

Ahhh, the finished project. I think they did a good job. I was able to do one side of the house. Let’s see if you can guess which one I did.

Afterwards, I had to keep the piggy daughters from consuming the house. After all, we do have plans for them.

As you can see above, one of the houses did not appreciate the fact that piggy girls wanted a taste.

Actually, that isn’t what it is upset about. The other house was talking about all the exciting things that happened to their ancestors.

If I was this house, I’d be worried too.

If I run out of tea before Harney delivers, (shudder at the thought) I go to a local tea shop in the mall.  I walk in and say, “I want the strongest blackest tea you have.”  They look at me funny and tell me all about their flavored froo-froo teas.  Once I had another customer tell me how to mix the teas to get a dessert. I’m like huh?  I simply told them black will do and if I want dessert, I’ll eat it.  I left with Irish Breakfast, another fine tea.

I am telling you this because I am a changed woman.  I now drink black flavored tea all the time.  A special friend sent me a bag of dried spearmint.  Oh it smelled so good. 

 I brewed my favorite tea All-India Blend. Rated briskness***, body***, Aroma***. That means it is some goooooood black tea. Before brewing I added a touch of spearmint to the tea leaves. Oh my, it smelled good, but I knew I wouldn’t like it because I don’t drink flavored teas outside the list above. I took on taste and I am now hooked.

Every single cup of black tea needs the spearmint now. To save the spearmint, I hide it from Sir Husband. I wouldn’t want to run out, because he drank some you know.

Now I have to grow a spearmint plant or my friend will have to supply my needs.
