Crocheted Handbag

January 22nd, 2007 · 2 Comments

I thought I would share a few pictures of the recent handbag I have crocheted. This is from a pattern by TLC Essentials, called Pretty Purses. LW1368. Free from Hobby Lobby. :)

This is a fall purse that I made for a swap buddy at Crochetville. I loved making this purse with a matching cell phone cozy. :) The yarn is Cascade Yarns, 100% Peruvian Highland wool, in dark green.

I have a few more I will share at a later date.

< ![CDATA[That's a beautiful handbag, Michelle. You are very talented! Did you hand sew the lining to the crocheted outer?]]>

< ![CDATA[Thanks Wardeh. Yes, I hand sew the lining in. I used a sewing machine to sew the sides, then placed the lining in the purse, wrong sides facing and then hand stitch around the edging, very tightly. I really do not like to line the bags. I have two more purses to make and I will not be making anymore for a long time, just because of the lining. lol]]>
